What people are saying

"My experience at Jiva Institute was completely transformative."

I felt safe because everyone we met showed care and deep dedication to the mission and the wellbeing of all the other people around. The classes are very impactful and the delivery felt genuine, with one purpose to help you understand and absorb the material. Rob supported us through patiently answering questions, always staying calm and grounded, delivering medicine, knowledge, and a solid presence when needed. He went above and beyond to fulfill every request, when we needed anything he was always there to guide us with a smile. His kindness, hard work and tremendous love for Vrindavan is felt in every word, every smile, and every breath we shared together. The yoga classes were creative and being able to experience different teachers and classes really made this yoga immersion unique. I want to thank everyone, from the kitchen and cleaning staff, to Babaji, and the wonderful kirtan leaders, Kamala, Jaya, Gopal and all the residents at Jiva! This experience would not have been the same without you. Thank you.

“Thank you Rob and Juliana for everything! There is no better way to experience India for the first time than joining this yoga immersion.

Everything is very organized and well communicated that made me feel safe and comfortable before I even got to India. Even I’m in a foreign and overwhelmed country, I felt like in home with this community.”

"I would wholeheartedly recommend this retreat to anyone seeking both spiritual growth and a meaningful, well-supported, and heart-opening experience. I am coming back!"

Attending the yoga and Bhagavad Gita retreat in Vrindavan, India was a truly transformative experience. Immersed in such a sacred and vibrant setting, the teachings came alive in a way that felt both deeply personal and universally meaningful.

Robert is an exceptional teacher. His depth of knowledge is clear, yet what makes him truly special is his ability to present a very complex and profound text like the Bhagavad Gita in a way that is simple, relatable, and easy to understand. He has a rare gift for breaking down intricate philosophical ideas without losing their essence. Throughout the retreat, Robert was incredibly patient and generous with his time. He welcomed every question with openness and kindness—even when, like Arjuna, the same question was asked again and again. His thoughtful answers never felt rushed or dismissive; instead, they invited deeper reflection and understanding.

What stood out most was his genuine enthusiasm for the culture and the teachings. His passion is absolutely contagious—you can’t help but feel inspired and eager to learn more. Robert also went above and beyond to make sure we felt fully prepared and supported throughout the entire journey. He took the time to explain the culture in advance, what to expect, and even broke down airline requirements so nothing felt overwhelming.

Juliana was incredibly kind and inclusive throughout the retreat. She made everyone feel welcome from the very beginning and created a space where each person felt seen and supported. She was always attentive to our needs and made sure that if anyone needed anything, it would be taken care of. Juliana’s yoga sessions were a perfect complement to the experience. Her classes were fun, creative, and a wonderful way to reconnect with the body after the meditation practices taught by Robert. The balance between stillness and movement felt intentional and deeply nourishing.

One of the most special parts of the retreat was the group itself. Juliana attracted an incredible group of people, and we quickly formed a genuine sense of community. The connections felt natural and meaningful, and I truly believe these are friendships that will last a lifetime. The people at Jiva were some of the kindest I’ve ever met, adding another layer of warmth and authenticity to the entire experience.

Another deeply meaningful aspect of the retreat is that the proceeds go toward helping protect Jiva Farm from illegal takeover. This beautiful green space is so vital for both humans and animals in Vrindavan. I witnessed firsthand the impact of rapid development—monkeys whose natural habitats have been destroyed to make way for buildings, then pushed out of the last remaining food sources and forced to survive by eating trash in the streets. Being at Jiva Farm felt like being part of something important and protective. During our time there, we were able to give back in small but meaningful ways—helping plant trees and spending time with the animals the farm cares for, including dogs and cows. These moments added a sense of purpose and connection that went far beyond a typical retreat experience. Since returning home, I have continued to use the meditation techniques I learned during the retreat, and they have already become an important part of my daily life. I also plan to continue with a daily japa practice, carrying the spirit of the retreat forward.

The yoga immersion in Vrindravan was a true coming home to the self and to yoga practice.

A great experience for yoga teachers or anyone interested in diving deeper into yoga practice. Lead by the best, Juliana, Rob and Colleen made sure everyone was supported emotionally, physically and spiritually. I truly enjoyed it more than words can even express.

The whole town of Vrindravan is a reminder that yoga as a way of life. From the classes on Bhagavad Gita to cultural excursions to group activities and yoga asana practice, the whole experience was a comfortably uncomfortable, exciting journey.

"If you're ready to challenge your soul and discover a new side of yourself, this is the trip of a lifetime."

Forget the five-star resorts...if you want a true, life-changing immersion in India, you want Rob and Jiva. I’ll admit I was on the fence about traveling somewhere so different, but Rob’s guidance made me feel supported every step of the way. He leads you through the 'uncomfortable' parts of growth with grace, teaching you and opening your mind in ways a typical vacation never could. If you're ready to challenge your soul and discover a new side of yourself, this is the trip of a lifetime. So don't wait!
